Hi everyone,
Last week, we worked on kicks in all the classes—basic karate kicks, as well as distancing and defence in kickboxing.
Kicking is a really important part of martial arts because it helps develop balance, flexibility, and coordination.
It also teaches students how to generate power safely and effectively while maintaining strong posture and control. We’ll continue building these skills over the next few weeks.
We’ve started a community WhatsApp group for sharing class information and for letting us know if you or your children won’t be attending a session. Let us know if you’d like to be added.
What a fantastic presentation evening! It was lovely to see so many people there supporting the club and celebrating the achievement of black belt.
Well done to all the students who took part in the demonstrations, and a massive well done to all the Students of the Year.
The Christmas Kids’ Bowling Event is filling up fast! If you haven’t already, let us know if your child would like to attend.
It will be held at Ilkeston Bowling Alley from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, 20th December. The cost is £11 for two games.
If you’ve already booked a place, please bring the money to class.
The Adult Christmas Meal is booked at Lime on Sunday, 14th December, at 6:30 p.m. We only have 30 spots available, and it’s filling up quickly, so let us know if you’d like to come.
Thank you to all the students who brought friends along last week to try out the lesson and had a go on the wheel.
Just a little reminder that stickers and pin badges are still available.
The last class of the year is on Sunday, 21st December, and the first lesson back will be on Thursday, 2nd January 2026.
Thanks so much!
Jamie, Joash, and Harry
